JA In A Day Session

JA Maine equips students with the skill sets and mindsets to envision choice-filled futures. We do this through a range of learning experiences that are hands-on, interactive, and pair students with mentors from the community. JA In A Day (JAID) is one of them.

  • Companies “adopt” an entire school or grade level and teach a JA learning experience in one day.
  • JA learning experiences are condensed from multi-week programs to single day lessons focusing on the most important information.
  • A typical day begins with the volunteers arriving at the school around 8:30-9:00 a.m., finishing up by 1-2 p.m.
  • JAID’s are great team-building opportunities, bringing employees together for a high-paced and high energy experience.
  • Scheduling is made easier as it’s one day versus a multi-week experience.
