The JA Titan Experience is an immersive program where students step into the role of business leaders, managing a simulated company and working to achieve profitability. Over five weeks, students learn the fundamentals of business economics in the classroom, guided by volunteers from Maine businesses. They then apply their knowledge at a statewide competition hosted by companies and universities across Maine.

A recent study by Camber Collective highlights a concerning trend: since the 1950s, the likelihood that children will earn more than their parents has declined by 45%. This downward shift in economic mobility has become more pressing with each generation.

While the statistic is staggering, the study also identified 28 key drivers that can help reverse this trend. Among them, seven stand out as most critical:
• Pursuing and completing post-secondary education
• Graduating with a degree in a high-paying field of study
• Obtaining a first job with opportunity for advancement
• Receiving mentorship during adolescence
• Receiving job or skills training
• Completing high school education
• Owning a business

JA Maine and its JA Titan Experience deliver experiential learning aligned with all seven indicators.
