As State President, Bill Williamson serves as Bank of America’s local enterprise leader across Maine. With a goal of delivering one company to clients and customers, Bill works across the region to connect Bank of America’s business lines to deliver integrated financial services to individuals, families and businesses. Bill also leads Bank of America’s corporate social responsibility work in the region, which leverages the unmatched capabilities of the company to help partners, people, communities and a broad client and customer base more effectively address a wide range of issues.
In addition to his Market President role, Bill serves as a Senior Client Manager in Bank of America’s Commercial Banking Group for Northern New England, managing the commercial banking needs of a diverse group of public and private companies in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. He has 39 years of commercial banking experience.
Previously, he worked in the field of education as Director of Development for Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts and Vermont Academy in Saxton’s River, Vermont. Bill has served as a Director of School Administrative District #51 in Cumberland, Maine and as a board member of the Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce, the Susan Curtis Foundation, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Greater Portland.
Currently, Bill is a board member of Educate Maine, Good Shepherd Food Bank, The Portland Museum of Art, the Alfond Scholarship Fund, the Maine Bankers Association and Arts Engage ME. A native of Augusta, Maine and a resident of Portland, Maine, he is a graduate of Colby College with a B.A. in English.
