JA Maine Titan Challenge

Featuring: JA Titan (Blended)

JA Titan Blended Model is a simulation-based program in which high school students compete as business CEOs in the phone industry, experiencing firsthand how an organization evaluates alternatives, makes decisions, analyzes the outcomes of those decisions, and then strategizes what to do next. (Grades 9-12) The blended model comprises 11 sessions that include tutorial sessions, game-play strategy sessions, a competition session, and deep dive sessions. Participants complete a minimum of 5 sessions, in any order. An optional event or in-class competition may be included.

Event Completed!

When: Wednesday, March 02, 2022 - Thursday, March 03, 2022
Where: Multiple Companies
Time: 8:15 AM ET

The newly redeveloped Titan Challenge is a business strategy competition for high school students. Teams of three students work to guide a fledgling company through the ups and downs of the market. The Titan Challenge draws on a number of skills each team member will need to become a meaningful contributor in tomorrow's workforce: creativity, finance, collaboration, strategy, leadership, and more.

All High schools throughout Maine can participate. The event takes place at a Maine business during school hours. During simulated business quarters, students decide on price, production, marketing, research and development, and charitable giving. These choices will lead to success or failure for their virtual smartphone company. Members of the winning teams will receive scholarships for higher education.

The Titan Program is an immersive peek into the business world and provides a real world experience to help students envision life after high school. Through interactive lessons and mentor led videos, students will make connections to the business community and broaden their sense of opportunities for their future.
